I would like to express my sincere gratitude for awarding me the externship scholarship. It was truly an honour and a privilege to be part of the training. Your generosity made it possible for me, all the way from Zimbabwe, to access learning that might otherwise have been very difficult for me to attend.
Despite the time difference, I genuinely enjoyed every moment of the training. It was both enriching and inspiring. Through the externship, I was able to experience the depth and power of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy in a way that has already begun transforming how I understand and work with couples. I can honestly say that my work with couples will never be the same again.
As a family therapist practicing in Zimbabwe, I see daily the deep relational pain many couples carry, often without safe spaces to process it. Learning EFCT has given me renewed hope and practical tools to help couples move from cycles of disconnection toward healing, safety, and deeper emotional bonds. I truly believe this restorative approach has the potential to bring significant healing to many families in my context.
I am deeply grateful for your wisdom, generosity, and commitment to mentoring therapists across the world. I hope to continue learning under your guidance, grow in competence, and one day achieve certification in EFCT. My sincere hope is that the knowledge and skills I gain will not only shape my own development as a therapist, but also benefit the many couples and families I have the privilege to serve.
Thank you once again for investing in therapists like me and for making this training accessible. I look forward to continuing this journey of learning and practice.
